Nintendo Wii's have been out since the beginning of December but due to back orders and reserved consoles they have been out of stock everywhere since the release date. The only places they are always available are ebay and Amazon (Amazon marketplace) where the prices are hugely inflated - from £180 to around £250 (or more). I managed to bag myself one this week from Woolworths, they were in stock for about 15 minutes on their website before they all went. There are a few sites that keep an eye out for Wii's on your behalf and will notify you when they are available, I managed to get hold of mine this week using stocknetwork.co.uk:

http://wii.stocknetwork.co.uk

It should hopefully be delivered next week, I'm looking forward to a bit of Wii Tennis and Bowling with the wife, we'll just have to be careful to not get too excited!

I've now got my Supercard and Superpass2 for my Nintendo DS, but strangly nether of these devices come with any CD's or documentation! I know they are not made by Nintendo, but I still expected some instructions of some sort! The Supercard website has manuals and a few HowTo articles, but the documentation is somewhat difficult to understand in places due to it being translated from Chinese.

One thing you will also need in addition to the above is a Micro SD card to insert into the Supercard. You can't do anything without one of these. I've ordered a 2Gb one from Amazon.co.uk for £40, which is the cheapest I could find. Supercard does support 4Gb cards but you have to do take additional steps when formatting the card so that your NDS can read it.

Before you can flash your DS, you need to program your superpass2 card. Pictured above with the superpass2 is

I'll be following these instructions once I have my PassMe and supercard mini (hardware that allows you to run homebrew apps on a DS). As well as the obvious advantage of being able to play "backed up" DS and GBA games, using a flashed DS allows you to run DSLinux, homebrew web browsers and media players.
