I have since found out that the DWA-131 is plug and play in Ubuntu 11.10 and later. I plugged it into my 12.04 laptop and confirmed that it is indeed plug and play. It is working fine.

I'm a bit surprised that sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper isn't enough ... a solution on this link is to compile it from source, you could give that a go?! http://tinymelinux.com/forum/thread-865.html

Thanks for this post. I have succeeded with it in the past. Now I have Xubuntu 12.04 on a very old laptop. I downloaded ndiswrapper via Software Centre and succeeded with the wireless-g option until the command "sudo modprobe ndiswrapper". I received the error message "FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found." Are you able to provide guidance to the potential problem here?

Nice phone, compact, easy to use. The battery holds for a week if no data transfer is used. more than I wanted on the initial configuration. you need to create an account for MotoBlur.
